You can earn HRM Professional Achievement points for the following activities:

Professional Development: The Basics

  • Approved E-Portfolio – 50 points
  • CSPD Fall/Spring Connection – 25 points
  • CSPD Mock Interview – 25 points
  • HRM Orientation – 25 points
  • SHRM Membership – 60 points each year
  • SHRM Meeting Attendance – 5 points per meeting
  • Weekly Student Leadership Workshops – 10 points

Internships and HR-Related Work Experience

  • Traditional HR internship – 400 points each semester
  • Co-op internship – 200 points
  • Self-Directed HR Internship (prior approval required) – 300 points 

HRM Knowledge and Development

  • HRM Department-sponsored events (e.g., HR Week, Awards Banquet) – 25 points per event
  • CReWS project with a faculty member – 75 points
  • Target Case competition/other FSBM competition – 75 points
  • TU SHRM Case Competetion – 75 points
  • Professional Development Workshops – 50 points

Community/Campus Involvement

  • Study abroad – 40 points
  • Membership in another club/SPO (one time only) – 10 points
  • Officer in another SPO – 40 points
  • Semester-long service project (no more than 2) – 50 points
  • TU HR/SHRM CommUniversity events (must be a SHRM member) – 40 points
  • Fall/Spring Student Leadership Conference – 50 Points
  • Fox Ombudsperson – 50 points 
  • Owl Ambassador – 50 points 
  • Student Disciplinary Board – 50 points
